When the Greater Manchester based Cheadle sports & social club decided it was time to update their ageing EPOS hardware they turned to Mobo for advice.  

The club already benefited from touch screen tills, kitchen printers and members cards to switch between member and non member prices, but it was always time consuming when it came to chasing membership renewals.

The management team consulted Mobo about what other EPOS technology they could introduce to benefit the club, save time and become more efficient. Here’s what we came up with.

 The three new clubhouse EPOS tills have been integrated with the Dojo card payment terminals enabling faster payments at the bar, which is especially welcome on busy match days and functions. Now, less mistakes are made when taking payments and cashing up at the end of the night is much easier.

QR Code readers have been attached to the tills to support the new digital online membership system which is being introduced for the new season.

Online Membership allows members to sign up, purchase and renew their memberships online. The system gives members a unique QR code that can be scanned to access members only pricing and benefits.  

Members will have the opportunity to create a pre-pay cashless account which they can top up online and spend at the bar tills or when using the new online ordering App to purchase food and drink or club merchandise.  

Ordering App - The new food and drink ordering App will allow members and guests to order and pay from their own phones. Whether customers are seated at a table in the clubhouse or outside watching the game, this convenient way to order will increase sales for the club without the need for extra staff behind the bar.    

Online Event Tickets - Whether it’s a match day ticket, a summer ball, daily spin class or a pop-up festival at the club, the ticketing module provides a flexible way to sell and manage tickets even when the club is closed.

Supported by a powerful online reporting suite, the committee has full access to real time and historical sales reports. Now the club has complete control over operations whether that is stock, staff, pricing, menu programming or membership.
